I am Trying to put together some photographs of Dalton in Furness in the 1920s and as it is now.My mother inlaw is in her late years now and was born in Daltonand grew up for a short while at 14 back of Gibralter and was then put into the orphanage there. I listen to her talk about her childhood and the loss of her mother at birth and i know she will never get the chance to return home so to speak.so i wondered if maybe any people reading thispage would ask older family members if they happen to remember Nellie Hodgson either from the orphanage or Area around the back of Gibralter IN the 1920s. I would love to be able to pass on to her any memorys from past friends and maybe family she has out there. I would really love to show her photos of her old home if there is any available.
